I read them because I know how it feels to get my own captions ignored. I tend to be that person who is tempted to write a lot about the piece, but lately out of respect for people's time I try to keep it less than 10 lines or so. That's just me though, personally I will read the caption of someone's post no matter how long it is.

I read the captions on posts. But tbh if you want to explain stuff you should post it regardless of whether you think other people will read it or not (tbh inevitably, someone is gonna read it), because the post is for you and not for others if that makes sense

Yes, I write long-ish bios and really appreciate if people read them, so I do the same with others

When I find the work or piece interesting, I tend to look at the caption and read
It cost nothing to do that so I kinda have this habits of doing it
