Unfortunately I can't get physical versions of things I really wish to collect at the moment, so I read online versions to keep up and read at my pace, that being Berserk, made in abyss,and frieren beyond Journey's End

Manga I prefer printed if possible, books it varies but usually digital and for webcomics it kinda depends whether they were designed for a scrolling format or not (I feel like scrolling webtoons would look a little weird when forced into a page by page layout if that makes sense)

For me, comics are not just a nice story. The story is indeed very important to make them valuable, but it is narrated through visual means, which are physical as well, therefore having a real physical comic copy that is in good conditions makes the experience of the story more precious and involving. The comic is an art object. On the contrary, books only comminicate the story, but the physical editio doesn't add anything: it could be very worn out, buz as long as it is readable, the quality of the narration won't be affected (btw I prefer paper books as well, just out of habit)
Also, in comics is important having a big image with the right dimension of detail as planned by the author, and seeing the texture of the page adds to the experience. And in the mechanics of reading, turning a page means moving a whole scene filled of events and emotions! And revealing what is on the other side: often surprises are prepared at the end of the right pagey and they are revealed at the beginning of the next left page, which the reader couldn't see before therefore it's a powerful surprise effect. Also, in a page spread pages can interact, or be balanced in a particular way, that is not visible when scrolling one after the other.
