Oh my dad did a diet where he ate these gross noodles that were made of water and had 0 calories. Needless to say it didn’t stick for long. As somebody who has lost 45 pounds since December, the best way to diet is just exercise a little more and add more fruits and vegetables into your diet, and still eating tasty stuff but just less. It’s about lifestyle changes not making yourself miserable on a diet
In my experience, it's the canned and boxed dinners/snacks and juice/soda that do the most damage. They make u feel like trash and diminish motivation mentally too. As for those crazy healthy food diets,, ehhm, I'm not a dietician so I can't comment. But switching out soda/juice for water and eating fresh produce instead of boxed microwavable stuff/fast food is the way to go in my experience. Learning to cook can actually be really rewarding and fun, and ay, the ability to cook well is a very attractive trait to many!😉

I think the only healthy way to start a diet is to want to do it. It's not about willpower or motivation but about making it into a lifestyle that you enjoy and seek to do out of positive feelings. I think it's not good that your dad seems to be pressuring you, if that's what he is doing. Anyway, that's only my opinion, definitely take it with a grain of salt cuz I'm sure I have biases
Sounds a bit sus of your dad to do that… have you guys agreed on that?
There are ways to manage the way you eat and eat healthy while incorporating the food you like. You can look up videos about that and send it to your dad. He might change the type of videos he sends you or maybe even stop sending them altogether. Restricted dieting can be a slippery slope if you're not careful
i understand the chocolate and sweets part, carbs are only good for you if they're complex, but damn what did the milk do?!
