Event HorizonFirst post, yay!
This is a painting I did for an abstract art course last year. It's my voidsona, born from vent art and later modified to reflect my current views and feelings. I'm extremely proud of this and I hope you'll like it too
ps. At the end of the course I presented the painting using Starlight by STARSET as the background music, and I listened to their songs a lot while painting. Go give them a listen as well if you want, I promise they're amazing hahaJun 3, 2024

This voidsona is so BEAUTIFUL!! It kinda reminds me of The Spot from Marvel~ I think it's really interesting how the characters's face - is it okay if I call this character Event Horizon just to make things easier? Event Horizon's face is kind of melted away to reveal the empty space inside
I like how there are little "slime trails" draped over the void. It kinda gives a little bit of body horror vibes, but not too much~
The actual void itself is so beautiful! Just look at the stars, the sprinkles, the sparkles!
Did you use a flick technique for the little stars? Although it was born from a place of sadness or even emptiness, there is something beautiful about staring into this starry void
The rest of the body - definitely an android body! I l, Robot anyone? I really like the different cables that comprise Event Horizon's neck The gentle shading on the robot armor is so cool, and the line patterns are really nice to look at It's interesting how the space between the armor is the same color as the neck area... Interesting
The background looks like it's a large field of dark storm clouds! Each blot is so well placed, it gives a deep, ominous feeling to this painting~
I just know you got an A on this masterpiece! I'm really happy that you had a lot of fun in your abstract art course~ I'll make sure to give STARSET's Starlight a listen, and I can't wait to see more of your incredible artwork!
