So I’m going to confess to you guys about something that I’m kinda ashamed of :when i see artists with tons of followers and likes i feel envious but not in a they shouldn’t have that many followers but in a way that why I don’t have as many or half the love they get

I get what you mean !! Sometimes when I see new people come and they get more followers even tho I’ve been here longer it does get to me but at the end of the day you have to remind yourself myself even tho others maybe ahead it doesn’t mean that your time won’t come everyone has their time and place to soar it’s like a slow burner but in time you will be where they are if not higher !!

I also often ponder upon this too, though I've reach to a conclusion that I've learned to accept. It's that we all have different demographics, there are people out there that might like your art but doesn't like an art that you personally think is better than yours. Art is art, but it doesn't mean that it'll be appealing to everyone. I'm not saying that my art is bad but rather that there are a specific people who will like my art and those who wont, and it's okay cause I know that my anatomy, coloring, and every other foundation of art that I apply into work isn't anywhere near perfect yet. Time will come, and it will come as long as you keep your head up and seek improvement. As long as there's room for improvement for you, then things will get better with it too. ^ v ^)

I kinda feel jealous of artists who have been here for a week or two and already have thousands of followers, while people who have been here for months and even engage with thr community way more barely get recognised :/

Mostly they have more followers because they post more or just draw famous people realisticly.
Don't get me worng, I don't think they not worthy of having that many attention. But there are just so many artists out there who are also doing such an great job, with other type of art and get less likes followers...

Also it’s just over saturated with the same concepts or art if that makes sense most people don’t want to experiment with art it’s all samey

and I just think that 1.its a new app so many people aren’t gonna know about it 2.most of the popular artist over on insta moved here and so I see they’re stuff more
