I used to get a lot of engagement there but it since died out for me so it's only worth it if you've got the time and energy to keep interacting with ppl to remind them that you exist

ā¢Bluesky is quite small. Have to follow the hashtag community and know the rules for artworks to be seen. Itās starting to bring more light. Worth trying out.

ā¢I think itās pretty good, it there just arenāt quite enough people regularly active on there to get SUPER BIG numbers on the regular.
My stuff always gets a minimum of 1 like, with an average of about 2-3 as a ānobodyā artist (Tumblr usually results in 0, so Blueskyās already better than Tumblr!)
You just have to use common hashtags & see if you can get into any Feeds for improved visibility!
(Theyāre a feature where people organize certain hashtags, keywords, or users into āfollowableā feeds, reminds me of Subreddits, but are still definitely a different thing from Subreddits. I currently follow the Birds Feed that shows bird posts I think by hashtag/keyword of ābirdā & the SFW Furry Art Feed that shows everyoneās art regardless of popularity as long as you use ā#furryartā & have been followed back by the account running that Feed!)
I personally think itās worth trying out. I wanted to make a Twitter before Musk took over & ruined everything, & Bluesky is one of Twitterās main competitors (Instagramās āThreadsā is the other main competitor, but Instagram steals userās images for AI so we donāt we like Threads) & most of the people who have Twitter have an account set up on Bluesky, I guess waiting for Twitter/X to do something REALLY BAD to then easily swap over to using Bluesky in its place. So as soon as another terrible Twitter/X update drops, Bluesky will see another spike in active users; itās kind of a matter of time.

ā¢I found it difficult to get my art seen there. Instagram sucks because it got rid of the "recent" sections in hashtags, and in bluesky feeds it was no different; only popular accounts were featured in the art feeds most people used. But they have added hashtags since I left so it may be different now
