[CW VOMIT] Ink Revives Darkness — also known as Ventus puking up Vanitas
11/04/2021 — Hello! So this was originally just supposed to be a doodle, I had left it at just the lineart. However, I kind of went overboard with it and just made it into an entire piece. I tried my hand at a more cartoonish style I guess? I'm not sure if it came out the best but lately I've been enjoying drawing sweat as if the character was melting and tears as bubbles like in this drawing, so I may try to incorporate these aspects more.This piece is a reference to a roleplay I'm apart of! In the roleplay, Ventus essentially throws up the part of his heart that held Vanitas due to his heart and body having been of pure light for years, it was unable to handle that darkness and Ventus' own negativity only worsened this. This idea was partially inspired by the unversed in the series as they stem from the negativity of Vanitas and strengthen from the negativity of others around. With Vanitas joining Ventus' heart it would be how unversed could still spawn from Ventus instead in theory. I'm considering adding more of these aspects into the roleplay as well, such as Ventus canonically doesn't truly remember his Union days so perhaps Vanitas could have these memories instead. I guess we'll see!! ^^ But, if it wasn't obvious, this is why the post is called "Ink Revives Darkness", I wasn't going to put black goo or anything as it didn't sound as interesting. Or cool. You guys can be the judge of that, I'm not very good at naming things lol
It's a rather serious concept but,, we were making jokes about the situation in a private chat. Sometimes to break from the angst we have to make jokes at the expense of the characters?Nov 5, 2021
