Hey! Artist who do commissions, how did you know you were ready to do them? I don’t think I’m technically skilled enough to start anything yet but I’m not sure where I’ll be by this Summer. Any tips for practice or anything? Thank you!May 16, 2021

I suggest you to watch that, it’s "How worth your art" and it helped me to know if I would do commission and how much it would worth.
I didn't think I was ready, I just went for it because I needed money at the time and some people bought some art so it felt really good 🧡
Don’t doubt yourself, if you want to sell your art then you should. There isn’t really a process my first two commissions they reached out to me and asked me and that’s when I decided I should advertise that I’m doing commissions
I knew because people were already asking me if I sold commissions, and I finally had the free time to draw art for other people. I was also out of college and needed the money.

Adoptables are just designs you sell to others. There's no real skill level required, if your art isn't good enough then there are free bases on DeviantArt that can be used for adoptables.
Also maybe adoptables?
