The Garden of the Birds ✧*。

This piece is for a challenge on Instagram , and the prompt was for your oc to wear a formal outfit based on a bird!! The obvious choice for René was his favorite animal, a duck- However, his pet ducks that he’s especially fond of are the plain white types. So, he went instead with a mandarin duck!! Their bright colorful feathers coincide much better with René’s often flamboyant fashion tendencies.

His contribution to the garden party (aside from merely gracing the other guests with his prestigious presence) will be a selection of the finest French cheeses and a choice bottle of aged red Provence wine. Partly to show off his accessibility to such fine delicacies, but also because he’s used to servants preparing his food for him and this was all he could put together on his own :>

I think he’d really enjoy the party though, as he often hosts or attends soirées and gatherings with other members of the French upper class. Once René gets past the idea of mingling with people of a lesser class than him, he’d enjoy chatting with (and probably gossiping about) his fellow contestants :D

-Anywayy I’m really happy with this painting!! It didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would, but at the same time I didn’t go along with my original plan of implementing a rococo art style :’)
I still really like it tho, and I’m so glad to be finally building up a better collection of art for M. Moreau and putting more thought into his character :D

what a masterpiece! the pose! those colors! that shine! that background! it's truly amazing how much effort has been put together into this artwork. haru is in awe -that's just how much inspirational is this piece of art. thank you for gracing us with it ^^ and have great day yourself as well :)
