So never throw your drawing rag/paper towel for brushes into a bin without it being fully dried out
Or don't leave the solution bottles open.
Just in case.
Though we have quite a few combustible and self combustible liquids around in our courses and haven't had any issues jet.
So it's more like a thing to keep in mind, like you wouldn't mess around with a running saw.
But you can use it without much issue if you know how to work with it.
(Idk if comparing oil painting to handling a saw is good ... but oh well)

It is kind of frightening. We have a fire proof cabinet in class to keep our open thinner in and if we changed it we have to dump it in a special trash can. The thinner can also burn off your finger prints if you’re not careful enough. I wear gloves when painting
