Definitely makes me feel calm and better. Instagram is brutal. But here I know that people truly appreciate even the process that goes into something and genuinely take time to appreciate. The love and motivation here is amazing

Artfol is SO much more relaxing, my goodness. I didn't post much on Instagram, but when I did I felt like it had to be of certain quality in order for people to even acknowledge it. Here it's so relaxed and I can kinda post whatever I'm feeling, plus the community is SO much nicer, lol.

•Yes!! I like that I can post freely and not have to worry about feeding the algorithm. Also the amount of artists on here that do cool backgrounds and plant elements is very inspiring!

In regards to the question, OMG YES I feel like with other platforms like Instagram you are constantly being encouraged to post regularly and my pieces take me ages to complete whereas Artfol seems like you can communicate and support others without needing to post regularly.

•ABSOLUTELY! I love how it seems that this app is trying to cultivate that by design. Like, I love how it puts center focus on the art by allowing more freedom over homepages? Not to mention how the follower count isn’t SMACK DAB right on the profile, which I feel like helps a lot of artists!
While the number of likes not being visible can take some getting used to? I also think its pretty smart as a decision as it causes artists to rely less on numbers to determine their worth.
In place of likes, we have comments which are far more productive and engaging than the abstract concept of a “like.” Iunno, JUS MY OPINION And I would talk about it more But I don’t wanna fill this up with a two page essay

•Oh definitely. I decided to keep my Artfol free of my usual NSFW works and anything work-related. It’s nice to section off my personal arts that are just for ME.

It’s nice to not have to compete with an algorithm and post every day to make sure people see your art. So relaxing!
