Outfit August 28: Battlemania Hub (Hideki)
IAs I wound down from the multiseries, it was harder to chose what to do for the last few, but then I got the idea to use the shared multiverse idea from my best friend Decon Theed’s Battlemania series, which is a pair of video game concept albums produced by him. (The pinned painting in my account is the cover for Battlemania 2) I did the concept art for characters and the covers as well as helped collaborated on which series we used and the level designs. Without his amazing music, we wouldn’t have such a great body of work between us.To that end, we both took the boys’ default outfits and reworked them a bit to capture a different look but consistent with their styles. Hideki, being more laid back and chill, has more distressed details like his jeans and shoes, and a nice well-travelled rugged look with a bomber style jacket. Id see this staff/sword design once and tried my hand at it though it isnt very straight XD;;; the round ring designs are back as a nod to his source inspiration, but Im particularly pleased with the contrast of the color of the coat with the blue.Sep 9, 2021
