Beneath the Ripple (illustration, pt.2)

Decided to split this one up (since it’s an extended illustration), so most of the explanation will be in the other post.
However for this post I will explain some of the process for this half of the work!
I actually attempted to show that sort of “mirror world” effect that you see in reflections- that is, the reflection itself is NOT exactly the same! Technically seeing something in a reflection is slightly altered in terms of perspective, but i also added the difference of their expressions~ This is a moment from a fic, so it felt like a perfect opportunity to play into a theme of the story- “what lies beneath the surface”. I highly recommend you read it if you like Caejose!
And just an aside but I’m MAD proud of those flowers! They ended up as a minor detail in the end but I just love how they turned out
