I don't think I would've been this intrigued with this had talented people not been in charge of the script. The themes of feminism and imperfection were definitely all over the place, some characters don't get much to do, and it drags towards the end,but again, I don't think the overall message would've been so effective if this wasn't written by Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig.
The characters not realizing that everything around them isn't real reminded me of that Life in the DreamHouse show too.
I'm so glad that Ryan Gosling was Ken, cuz he fit his role very well! Margot Robbie being Barbie instead of Amy Schumer was also a bullet dodged, because imagining Amy as a "Girlboss Barbie" is cringeworthy to the max.
