A bit of a personal question today:
What kind of birth control do you use and why?
I use (Evra) hormone patches, because I only have to change patches once a week and I don't like needles.May 17, 2022

I don’t know what the drug is called but I use the mini pill. I did had another pill but it gave me migraines. The mini pill has been wonderful! I take them because I had horrific period pains (I now know I have fibromyalgia which may have caused them) where I’d be unconscious once a month or screaming at the top of my lungs for it to stop Lmao. The mini pill has completely stopped my periods for years. Apparently it is usually not so effective and can cause irregular periods or worse periods so I definitely got lucky

I use an IUD and it’s been wonderful (in preventing pregnancy and regulating my hormones + period), but my boyfriend is also hoping to get snipped
Insertion was painful and uncomfortable, but it only needs to happen every 5 years so it’s nice lol

•im supposed to go onto the pills soon to help regulate my hormones, i hate needles and everything else that ive heard about doesnt seem as easy or simple as the pills

•While i used it, I was on the pills. Was easy to deal with, protected all the time and made my cycle work like clockwork. (Not like I had an irregular cycle before, but it naturally shifts a bit from time to time, annoying the hell out of me xD Tracking it with the health app on my phone helped with that though.)
My doc pulled me off of the pills for some reasons, so now bf does the protection part. It is just slightly more work than the pills were, but otherwise working fine.
