It took me about one year I think, but I did not post drawings during half of it so maybe this slowed it down. I think that interacting with others helped, because then they know you exist which is the first step if you want them to follow you. Anyway don't focus so much on the numbers, they are not the priority on this app, it works differently than other platforms focused on numbers.

Genuinely interact with other people's text posts and art, make real connections with them, follow and support them, put in the work of being consistent with posting your art and text posts.
The key is that it will take time and patience, but I've found that for me this was the best way!
