Silly little rant but I'm in every dino video I see people are talking about how the spinosaurus is getting "nerfed" as scientists are finding more and more maybe accurate info about them! And! It bothers me! That was a real guy, man. That was a whole animal, it can't get nerfed! It's not a machine or videogame character! It was an animal with animal like qualities! Augh!Aug 22, 2025

New dino balance patch. Some get nerfed, some get buffed. And for a small micro transaction, there's a purely cosmetic option to choose between feathery and scaley skin. Mmm yea yea yea. But this doesn't affect basic stats, so no worries, dino history is not pay-to-win.

I got excited because I literally thought you were talking about a Dino game that I played. Spinosaurus is one of the planned dinos :P

•ppl who say this stuff dont actually like dinosaurs as animals, they just want them to be hyper-badass movie monsters. I rlly try to ignore that talk; same with people saying anything that had feathers couldnt look majestic or be intimidating. As if hawks, eagles, and fluffy mammals like bears and tigers aren’t some of the most successful predators of today.
in reality, a huge predator with sickle claws would be scary even if it were covered in hot pink fuzz with purple spots lol.

•Seeing as it had its own very specific niche in nature, wouldn't the new discoveries be buffs rather than nerfs if they're specifically evolved for said niche
