Some fantasy inspired uses - heating metal objects so they're too hot hold, creating a wall of fire to protect something/someone or a ring of fire to trap someone, melting an object like a lock shut or destroying a mechanism, destroying evidence, signaling secret messages at night, triggering rope traps, distraction to pull eyes away from true danger, faking an attack, threatening, triggering bombs or fireworks, burning small symbols or messages to objects or structures, scaring wild animals or a horse someone is riding on or sabotaging their vehicle, smoking people out of a shelter so you don't have to take the risk of entering it yourself.
