Unmentioned Skills Challenge
I wish there were more character development challenges on Artfol and I decided to try and be the change I wish to see! >:O I have no idea if anyone else is interested in these kinds of things but I hope so!
(And no, I'm not a graphic designer. I have no idea how to make a nice-looking challenge icon thing. All I know is I like Pastel colours. :-D)
But yeah, no deadline on this challenge, just an excuse for everyone to doodle and ramble about their OCs' random skills that AREN'T related to their career and don't necessarily play a major part in their story. Does your math teacher OC also love making fly fishing lures? Maybe your medieval prince learned to play the "hand whistle" from a travelling performer? Or maybe that space pirate captain is a walking guidebook to cleaning stains from textiles after years of working as a maid!
How did they pick up this skill? Is it a proper hobby they're passionate about it or did they have to learn out of necessity? Maybe a parent taught them when they were small and the teachings never left them?
And if your OC doesn't yet have any such random skills, maybe it's time to peek into their personal life and see what they have been up to when you weren't looking!
Go forth and overshare your OCs to your hearts' content! I will hopefully make more of these prompts regardless of whether people do them or not. :p
