Good morning :D
QOTD: Do you think you’ll ever stop taking art seriously? Or will you pursue an art career for a long time?
Personally I hope to find an art career I can enjoy! That way I can do art for a long time and not worry about finances. Being my own boss would be cool :0Apr 22, 2021

God I hope that I never get tired of Art, I’m going to an art uni in like a couple of months and I’m honestly praying that this school doesn’t shatter my hopes for a future in art

Depends on the kind of art we speak of
Drawing: yes
Theatre: yes
Song writing/making: oh heck yea
I don’t know about other things though-

•I think no matter how much stress I’m under due to the fear of unsuccessful, fruitless efforts—- I will still always love art seriously. To the deepest part of my core, I am a writer and even if that’s only ever going to be a small part of my job until I reach retirement then so be it. There’s no way I’d ever trade that part of me away, so I’d like to pursue it for as long as able.

•i always thought i’d do art forever. i genuinely used to think that if i ever injured my drawing hand beyond repair, that i would just give up on everything
i’ve come to realise now just how many things i’m interested in, both in terms of hobbies, but also the way i like to work and communicate with people. i would love to do art forever — but another part of me actually likes the idea of experiencing a load of other industries in this long-ass life we have. honestly no idea what id do yet! but i’m down for anything :D

•I do art as a job already, and I think it's a balance? I absolutely take it seriously when it comes to bills, but I still know how to have fun and take things less seriously when it comes to personal art.
Life goes up and down, you'll always have periods of being super serious and then stepping back for a while. Some days I want to improve a ton and be the best I can be, other days....I don't really care as much.

•I didn’t plan on making art my career when I started out, but I’ve grown to love art so much that I’m now considering it haha. I at least know I’ll always be taking art seriously, and if I get far enough in my art journey to where I can make a career out of it I’ll go for it

•My feelings on it have gone up and down a few times due to either stress or money thoughts or other things. I over process everything so......
but I’d adore to have an art career
