Matron Shi; Pirate Queen of China.At first she led a pirate fleet together with her husband, but when he died she formed a pirate coalition of more than 400 ships and 70,000 sailors.
Her fleet carried out many acts of pillage, from merchant ships, passing through coastal or river towns. Being feared and respected, she came to develop a code of laws on her subordinates, which protected her allies, women and children, which prevented them from being killed, injured or raped under penalty of immediate death.
At the end of her career she commanded over 2,000 ships, and demanded and received from her government a pardon for her and her crew in exchange for her ships for military use, some of her consider her the pirate with the greatest story success.Mar 9, 2022
