The site that's probably actually the best comparable website to twitter? Been around as long, so is well established in userbase and reliability. Roughly the same kind of post types. Already home to a lot of internet culture - mostly just lacking in the celebrities and official outlets.
Not confusing, like mastodon. Not totally image based, like Instagram. Established, unlike tribel. Not owned by the far right, like "truth" social, or gab or parler...
I'm sure it's actually banned from some of the other rules. But just the fact it didn't even come up on the "sites we should be concerned about" list when it... Really should have...

"for safety reasons you can't link any alternative websites" was literally the rules of the neopets forums when I was a teenager. .... Because it was a forum full of teenagers. When the internet was a hell of a lot more wild west than it is now. Partially it was so no one could link adult content, and partially so no one could link competing websites.
It should not be the policy of one of the worlds biggest website. At a time where the internet is very sanitized.... And, you know, they allow people to post actual legit porn...
