You are the only one to know and define who you are. There is no one way to be trans. Those who gatekeep you from your own identity have got it all wrong. They think building higher walls around their labels will keep them safe from questions and doubt. They are not stronger, they are not truer. They are scared. It might hurt you more to be pushed away by those you thought should be on your team but don't listen to them. Don't loose sight of what really matters. In the end it's not about belonging. It's about finding yourself."
