named after summerI thought this challenge sounded super fun! I have a couple of characters whose names I'm happy with so I might do another entry later. Uh. Please ignore how bad my handwriting is I didn't consider having to write it when I used a kanji with 19 strokes for Reina.
Anyway left is Reina right is Chinatsu. The na and natsu are both from summer and part of what originally got them involved (and eventually led to bullying/absolutely loathing each other) with each other was the comparison. I chose to invert the first kanji with the qualities they value more in themselves so chi is from wisdom when Chinatsu is kind of a bimbo and rei is from beauty when Reina is a greasy shut-in. They're both pretty rancid people though.
Not totally relevant but monster/parasite Chinatsu would be written with kana rather than kanji for human Chinatsu.May 5, 2024

I love the inclusion of the different writing systems to differentiate what stage a character is in!! It's v reminiscent of The Summer Hikaru Died for me hehe /pos
Also I dig the inversion of the kanji meanings, that's so fun to play around with argh!! (Also RIP with having to write complex symbols, but at least it looks really good!! My boxes would end up melting into each other because I always did my JP homework on paper with too-tiny lines haha XD)
