Ok I have an old oc who’s original design was based off an animation made by a problematic artist, and even tho a redesign them back in October I feel kinda bad for making/drawing them. But I still want to drawing them again any advice on how to get over the feeling?Dec 7, 2021

Well, you didn’t know the artist was problematic at the time you originally created the OC, so it’s not your fault at all. If you knew they were bad from the start & made the OC, then there’d be an even bigger problem here!
I think the best things to do are to accept/realize that you are not that gross artist, & the fact that you want to not be associated with them & their work is genuinely a really good thing. Redesign the character by taking inspiration from the things in your life now (cartoons? video games? books? movies? Other artists? etc.) & really make that character yours!
I hope this helps!

I’d like to know how you’re defining problematic, but beyond that everyone is inspired by something. And like, sometimes our inspirations aren’t perfect.
