House Sparrow

And this is number six of my 20x20 series: the House Sparrow

I wanted to include this bird to the series because of multiple reasons:

♡ For one the house sparrow is a beautiful bird

♡ Secondly the house sparrow is a much loved bird and not just by me as I found out recently!
I got so many reactions to my post about how bad they are doing (both on IG and Facebook) and how much people missed them. It was truely touching

♡ And the last one is a bit of a jest.
In Dutch the house sparrow is called 'Huismus' and in Dutch we have a saying: 'Dat is een echte huismus.' meaning a person is a true homebody, someone who likes to stay at home.
As an artist I kinda am a true homebody and at the same time we had plenty of that in both 2020 and 2021. Right?! No more 'huismus!'
