I might be alone in this since I draw on my phone, but does anyone else find it hard to just doodle?
I cannot have an ugly drawing just be ugly, even if I’m trying to be funny (I can’t do that anyways)
I either have to make it into a clean sketch or go further with it.
Now this is only a problem I have digitally speaking and I can draw in my sketch book all day but that’s a different struggle for me…May 20, 2024

Its exactly like that for me too, I'd say my best sketches and drawings in general are traditional, but because of life I cut the bound I had with it for a year , turning almost full digital. Now, even if I got used to having wips on tablets, nothing compared the feeling of your hand on paper, honestly. It's always the random sheets that get the best scribbles haha

Yeah I found I have an issue doing it digitally where I just can't land on a solid idea that I wanna flesh out more. It's not the same exact issue but it's more like I can't come up with new stuff out of my doodles because I keep clearing the layer.
The solution for me that's worked is set aside time and draw in a physical sketchbook.
