Yes- all my life I have been kinda pressured into JUST making strait couples due to religious reasons blah blah blah. But ever since I found put I was in the community I decided to express myself in my art. Now I have SO SO have gay male charicters and it's a bit annoying bc I want to give my charicters more diversity. I mean I do have strait, bi, lesbian, + couples but their not in my mind as much as the ones I draw (malachi and juno)

And she's also polyamorous.
And I also have some characters who were redesigned and rewritten as trans.
And a lot of my AMAB characters get misgendered when I show them to people. And whenever I ask why they don't "Look like their gender", it turns out it's just because they have long hair
And some of them look androgynous too.
Now watch me design 50 more man with long hair and with the most flamboyant and androgynous styles ever!

•As a lesbian who makes characters, most of my characters are lgbtq. Like, I wanna make a story called "All girls are gay", so, most characters in that book will end up being gay. I have some characters that are straight. A few of them being my first few ocs I had made when I was a bit younger, but I still had made lgbtq ocs when I was younger. So yeah.

•As an aroace: most people have romantic relationships with varying flavors of queer, but none of them are fleshed out.

To a degree, I think it has… I’m genderfluid + bisexual, but I’m not out irl (at least, not in regards to being genderfluid), and I love giving my characters similar feelings to gender that I have. One character’s bigender, another is agender, one’s a demiboy… all genders I’ve been, to some degree. It’s not super in-depth; it just is. That’s how I am, too.
tl;dr I like having the freedom to express some of what I’m feeling haha.

•All my ocs are lgbt+, and I think that’s it? I find it easier to write them as such. I honestly draw more influence from my gender than my sexuality.

•i think being considered “outside the norm” has made it easier to question the norm and make characters that split or branch off from that norm if that makes sense… idk about my art specifically but i do draw a lot of gay and trans people being happy because that makes me happy

It’s honestly kind of helped me peel away from some of the stereotypes. Make more diverse characters that show their pride

•All my characters are gay and/or trans men. It’s my fictional world and I will project my feelings onto my characters

•I don't think it has affected my work at all, but I feel like it does affect the kind of characters I make in terms of their sexuality. I feel like I'm more inclined to make a character part of the LGBTQ+ community or hint at them being part of it rather than make them cis and straight. Doesn't mean I don't make straight characters or don't have an abundance of them, but I feel like once I came out and started accepting my sexuality I started adding that as traits of my characters.

•I don't think it has? I don't know what where I fit but I'm definitely not straight and that's all I care to know. I've always been writing about straight and queer characters because I like exploring different POVs. Like the straights, my queers can be positive or destructive figures...they're all supposed to be people to me

•Somehow me entering into this community has 1: made me make more dynamic ships 2: want to make more interesting characters, and 3: make me wanna have them all have deep trauma
