Viva la cachapa y la chichaSubmitting into my own challenge jgspjgs, since I posted it I wanted to draw more so I I did (months later)✌️

And some context for the costumes, left to right:

First one is a manta guajira used by an indigenous group called wayuu, who live both in Venezuela and Colombia, thoses come in any pattern and color. Her culture is already based on this group so find it appropriate hsjsh

Theses two have a joropo costume, our traditional dance, the male costume is called liquiliqui and the official traditional costume. You're supposed to use alpargatas to dance but I forgor and I drew him on heel because they basically part of him💀 I ask my friend if you can dance joropo on heels and he said no but I think he hasn't tried hard enough.

Last one is the costume for a religious festivity called Los diablos danzantes de Yare, where people dress like demons and dance and play instruments carrying an altar to the church, the masks go hard af. You can see and I got tired after the mask and the rest of the body is just there-

Idk about couple joropo , but you can use heels while doing traditional faldeo! at least I was taught that way starting with low heel dancing shoes :)
