𝓓𝓳𝓾𝓷𝓪 𝓢𝓴𝔂𝓮 Speaking of avoiding Amazon... I was really into the website Goodreads during 2020, but I realized it's owned by Amazon (and isn't exactly a great site anyway), so now that we are entering a new year, I'm moving to a different site! I'm now using Storygraph, it's still in beta but so far a like it a lot! Has most of the same features as goodreads, but imo the website is a lot easier to navigate, and has a clean and simple design. Also, you can export your goodreads data to Storygraph when you set up your account! So no need to individually add all your books to your new Storygraph account. If you like reading, I definitely recommend Storygraph, whether you've been using goodreads or not.
