since deltarune chapter 5 is soon, i just wanna share my personal theory that i have that i call "Hellfire Theory"
basically i believe that the shelter is going to be deltarune's equivalent to the true lab. its not like a theory really ive just compiled a bunch of evidence i have for this so yeah
° for starters, friend (who most likely lives in the shelter) is literally just an amalgamate
° the shelter is most likely the "hell" that keeps getting brought up (since friend is the tail of hell and allat), and hell is usually depicted as a place with lots of fire. fire melts things. the true lab has a bunch of melted monsters.
° in Erams boss theme, BURNING EYES, around the 10 second mark, you can hear notes that are strikingly similar to battle against a true hero, a boss fight about a monster overloaded on determination. and GUESS what the amalgamates are. not to mention Erams fight takes place in a recreation of the shelter
° going by the assumption Dess is the knight, lets say she got dropped off into the shelter. its dark, shes probably horrified, and then she shes a melted monster. but i think the first amalgamate she saw was Everyman, which would explain why he keeps making cameos in the dark worlds, since everyman has been engraved into her memory
° both the shelter and the true lab are underground
° it would be so cool
