Olive had a lot of issues in their childhood; it led them to become kind of a bully as they went through middle school and high school despite being a star student grades-wise, and a little before they graduated high school they had an energy burnout, I guess? And all of their internalized anger just turned into sad. This 12 year old has no idea whats about to hit them lol
Olive in “present-day” (2030; sci-fi things!) has made an effort to get better. They went to college, and now they work on a space ship and have a couple of good friends. Overall I think they’re doing better <3

“Look, kid, I know you hate me or think I’m stupid or whatever, but I need you to listen to me.”
“Why?”
“Things are about to get a lot harder for you pretty soon, and I need you to understand that it’s gonna get a lot worse before it gets better, and that you’re not always gonna be this alone.”
“That’s it? That’s all you want to tell me?”
“Yeah, and I suggest you listen. Because I’m not letting my life get screwed up because some idiot twelve year old can’t take some advice.”
“... Fine. I’ll keep it in mind”
