Long swordI made this piece in response to an alt prompt list instead of inktober. The prompt was “longsword.” I started off just wanting to draw a lady elf knight but then it became about women and how women are socialised to uphold the patriarchy (as a knight upholds a kingdom) but also expected to fall on their swords if need be, for the sake of the “greater good.” The mirror symbolises fragility of the system and unrealistic beauty standards. Maybe there is more to this character and we’ll see her again.Jan 26, 2025
