The arcade machine's origin + another new character
(CW: suicide)
In Mickey's world, Tron was once a popular game, but as time went on, it got buggier and buggier due to age, until it eventually started crashing. After getting unplugged for good, Yen Sid dumped it into Wasteland so the programs within could continue to live in peace, as well as never breaking down thanks to Petetronic's maintenance. The Programs that originally resided in the game were Programs scanned from their player's likenesses, but once the machine got to Wasteland, ISOs began appearing as well.
Trey: the first person to play the game after the machine was installed in the arcade, as well as Troy's User. Troy figured out something new about him anytime he played the game; that he's a musician, has played every game in the arcade up until Tron was installed, and is depressed about undisclosed family troubles. Otherwise having trouble making and keeping friendships, Troy feels like the only person he can talk to despite being unable to actually interact with him. When said family trouble reached its peak, Trey threw himself off a cliff. Troy, unaware of his death, wonders why he's not getting played as and begins to worry about where Trey is until the arcade machine is unplugged.Jan 16, 2026
