question .. what makes someone have an "alt /alternative art style" ?? I see so many "tiktok alt art compilation" videos on YT but I cannot grasp what it means to have an "alt art style" and most of the drawings in there do not look remotely similarly styled evenJan 21, 2022

I've heard of alt music and alt fashion, but I've never heard of someone having an alt art style. Maybe they're referring to art styles that are "unusual" (like an alternative to "popular" art styles) but idk

It's not anything specific, the user making the vid defines something they see as normal im their head and then collect alternatives to that chosen normal.

Don't think I've heard of that but I'd imagine it'd be someone having multiple art styles. Like if someone had an anime art style and a semi-realism art style or something like that

I would guess it means having multiple art styles, like having a semi realistic art style and also having a chibi style and just drawing which ever style you feel like
