What helps you get back into art?

I haven’t drawn much in the last month or so and when I’m not in the flow, honestly my drawings don’t reflect how I see them in my head and it’s discouraging.

Any tips or tricks that you do?

making ocs. i love making stories for them. it makes me motivated to draw them in situations
Draw something different from your usual wheelhouse - I like the “new art supply” suggestion because experimenting with new media/subjects will take some of the expectation pressure off!
Honestly, new art supplies and wanting to try them out.
I go on an inspiration expedition to hopefully find a new artist or cool thing
Having other things to do- and a flexible schedule... For me (who posts weekly content), it's easy to get discouraged just creating content non-stop... But, I work parttime as an editor and I'm also a JHS learner so I get less time to make the actual content I need, but it makes getting back into art more relaxing than trying to stress out all of your creativity in one go non-stop... and getting a break before continuing a piece (like work) helps refresh your perspective once you look at your work again

Hopefully this helps
I like to watch youtube and draw with someone else drawing in the back. Or switching media. But its still hard for me to motivate sometimes.
I use my story dialogue as inspiration like drawing one character from a certain scene
Or use a song as an inspiration
Sometimes ruins inspire me although I don't draw ruins 😂😭 idk they just give me ideas lol
So yeah, maybe looks at the things you love and try imagining your OC doing them or something like that? Or find some clothing and picture your OC wearing them, or find a nice garden or fountain and picture your OC playing with the flowers/water

I hope I helped :)
I agree with them all, Pinterest is perfect! Also doodling till you have an idea, or looking at your favourite artists' work and referencing from it :)
I agree with the others! Pinterest is a great place for inspiration. But what I usually do I hop onto a place called Drawpile✨. It’s a drawing program (if you draw digitally) where you can draw on the same canvas with other people. Hanging out with others and watch others draw really inspires me to be in the zone or mood for it. ✨ Definitely recommend. ^_^
I like browsing through Pinterest and hunting artists from twitter that I saw on Pinterest! Looking at pretty art really makes me pumped up ✧\(>o<)ノ✧
It may not be the best advice but I usually find that getting super into the 'art mood' helps alot. Try finding some really nice inspo from things like pinterest, or watch some art vids/tutorials :) try doodling or doing some requests from ppl if that helps.
