Just saying this cuz of stuff I’ve been seeing on Twitter

But let’s not act like everyone’s experience with hyperfixations are the same. Yes many can be very negative and cause harm, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be good and positive for others. I feel like this type of discourse or whatever just doesn’t help much, I mean I saw someone say they were questioning their hyperfixations because of what people were saying.
Hyperfixations don’t have a specific length that they have to meet, and they don’t always have to be fully negative and harmful.

Idk, it’s nice to see people talk about the struggles of hyperfixations, I mean hell I’ve literally lost a friend cuz of one I had.
But idk it feels like alot of people are forgetting that it’s not the same experience for everyone ;-; and yah… 🪱🪱🪱🪱🪱

Definitely agree, for me I get a lot of food related hyperfixations and sometimes is really beneficial for me. For a few months I had an apple hyperfixation where I was eating apples every single day which was great because I don’t eat a lot of fruit or veggies. And now I’m on a smoothie hyperfixation which is again really good for me because I’m getting nutrients I wouldn’t otherwise.

Pushing out an idea that hyperfixations have to be debilitating and harmful just doesn’t help anyone.
Also it causes people to think that they’re faking their disorders when they’re not

What happened to people saying that not everyone with so and so are going to all act completely the same

Everyone’s different!
