Yes, they know each other. In fact, they grew up together. The Sun poured her magic all over the untouched lands and from it Eki was born. Not long after, the chief had his first daughter to. A moment to celebrate!
For now I won't tell you more about these two, but know that their paths in the story are very much intertwined forever.
The lyrics belong to the song "The moon will sing" from The Crane Wives! One of my fav groups out there. Their whole vibe and songs are very Eki and Iris. I have more things planned with their songs hehe

the composition is SO BEAUTIFUL, and as soon as i read “the moon will sing” it indeed started to play in my head, is one of my favourite songs too
