SAME!! the way I've gotten passed this is mixing the mediums. I'm A LOT more comfortable doodling by hand. The anatomy just turns out better and less stiff. Then I take a picture with my phone and use my traditional medium doodle as a reference for lineart. You can even do quick shadings to get an idea of what you wanna do on the computer. My traditional setup is literally from the grocery store but it gets the job done, and I can do clean ups digitally. (You can even keep the texture of the reference at lower opacity for flat coloured areas to get more depth)
