I'm back
Hi friends, it has been a while since I uploaded any art. I miss you guys and miss making art. I have some important news to share, and quite exciting news: I quit my software engineer day job!It has been quite difficult many months for me at work, pandemic + stressful chaotic environment has been very hard on me. My days wandered into a never ending perpetual night where I became a robot who proceeded through the days emotionlessly. I didn't know the further phase of depression is just feeling numb. At some days, I felt my days lost purpose, and I had to sleep a lot just to finish that day, since I cannot find anything more interesting, and I'd rather just drop my conscious and not live that day. It is needless to say that is somewhere I don't want to continue going. So I made the decision to just quit.
It has been a week since my resignation letter, I already started to feel better. I find the desire to live everyday sparkles passion to capture beauty in life so well. When you feel hopeful, common things feel extra cute for some reason, such as this parking lane and random trees in my neighborhood. I resumed doing daily sketches on site or based on my photos, slowly filling up this journal. I'm not gonna lie that flipping through them feels so good. My art is coming back to me.
I'm very excited about this new chapter in my life. It has been the plan to do art and my full time SDE job at the same time for some years, which I have been doing for the past four years, and then switch to do art full time when timing is right. I pushed forward the plan a little. Regardless of that, I feel I'm at the right place in life. I look forward to what's to come so so much.
