Thought I'd ask on here since a lot of people here also use Instagram. Just wondering if anyone has ad a similar problem/know how to fix it/how to avoid it to stop it from happening every time
TLDR: every 3rd to 4th post I upload on instagram completely flops. Think it may be shadow ban but I've got no idea and would like any help or advice to stop it from happening
I've been having this same problem on instagram for about a year. I've tried a couple of things but nothing seems to have worked. Basically every 3rd or 4th post I do just ends up flopping. It's not like people arent interested. More like it just wasn't shown to anyone. Including people who follow me.
OK so basic to give a bit more detail. I post my artwork. I like to also post the breakdown of the work. So like sketch, outline, base colour, shading, final piece. It's usually about 6 posts per art piece I complete. In bigger projects its even more because there's a lot more detail and I spent more time on it so I want to show it off.
Because I'm posting the breakdowns I end up using very similar hashtags. Not the exact same. But definitely in the same field. So for example. Instead of #art I use #artwork then change it again on the next post. There is a bit of overlap from time to time. But majority of the time I use different hashtags for each post.
As said before. My main issue is after the 3rd to 4th post the post just completely flop. Like 2 people who follow me see the post and that's it. Then I need to wait about 2 weeks before any post is seen again.
I first thought is its a shadow ban. But I've looked through the hashtags on an account that does not follow me and my post still shows up? Which wouldn't be the case if it was a shadow ban right? Plus if I was shadow banded I got no idea why I would. My best guess would be for spamming hashtags because I use such similar tags? But I only post at most once every 2 days. And as said I try to use different hashtags each post?
I just would like to know if anyone else has dealt with this or if anyone knows what's going on and could help so I can stop having this problem.
