This time this is her in the happy ending of my cancelled fanfic about "No, I'm not a human", which is an alternative universe where she seeks shelter in the house of the main character, a place where she quickly falls in love with him. I imagined several endings, some neutral, some bad and some terrible, but I wanted to focus on the happy one.
Here she decides to take her chances with the homeowner and date him, whether he rejects her or not. To her surprise he does accept her, though he's honest about being a loner, not a people person, a heavy smoker and even admits that things might not last with each other, yet she accepts that. A while after being together, they end up pretty happy, with the homeowner going out to do outdoor activities with Yolanda after a lifetime of being a hermit and Yolanda finally moving on from some past resume she endured.Apr 30, 2026

Being in South America, plus being a little younger, I'm not sure if you'd be familiar with the Wayne's World movies from the early 90's, but both movies have multiple points where the actors "break the 4th wall" where they directly or indirectly address the viewing audience, and particularly at the end of each movie when everything is going wrong and it's obvious the movie is not going toward a good ending, the main characters just announce that they're gonna try a different ending. So they try that, and then decide to just go with the "super mega happy ending" where everything works out, the guy gets the girl, the antagonist gets foiled, and everything works out great. I could see you writing your fanfic like that, where you have a real bummer of an ending, so then Yolanda says, "Screw it, let's do a different ending," and then they try a couple different endings until she and the main character live happily ever after
