[THP] The Fairy Prince
Figured I’d finally share my profile pic here, it’s still hands down one of my favorite pieces to this day.ANYWAY ANYWAY delicious lore~
Fae is a strange character not crafted by the gods but more through ‘magical science’ if you will. I can’t spoil the whole reason why, but fairies wanted to try and craft a child into a magical being like a nymph and Fae was the one successful experiment they had... unfortunately for them, that’s not a good thing.
Fae has extremely unstable, raw, ever growing magic he can barely control and he seems to be in a limbo between alive and undead, able to regrow limbs and break his neck without much strife. Plants constantly blossom and grow from his pores, every step he takes leaves moss, grass, and mushrooms, all a result from unrestrained magic constantly escaping from him. His powers are unstable, unpredictable, ever changing, and dangerous.
his very presence ended up creating a new species, “the fae”, creatures a blend of fairy and undead, other fae started to rise as Fae touched and returned life to the dead. People who now have their own small seeds of growing magic and worship Fae as a leader and do almost anything he asks. Whether the other fae have free will or not is uncertain.
They grow a tradition of wearing animal skulls as a sort of identity, Fae himself taking the skull of a ram leads most fae to prefer other horned animals but some variation exist. Their strange patterns are random and asymmetrical, growing and changing as they age coming in a variety of patterns and shapes.
Fae himself is not malicious, but his connection to reality has been completely severed and he’s a bit of a maniac. Not a psychopath, but his empathy is often poorly placed.Apr 29, 2021
