ThieveryFinished another old study and I think I’ve learnt my lesson about starting something and the leaving it in my WIPs for a year. The foundation of the painting is so different from how I would have built it today that it literally obstructs the whole process

This is so pretty! Unfortunately I’m not skilled enough to give critiques, but I think using colors from the background and incorporating it into the rest of the piece (for example, in her shirt or reflected in her eye whites) can help tie the different elements of this piece together. I think adding a few cooler tones (on the top parts of the hair, maybe subtly on the skin, clothing, and other elements) to show the light of the cool blue sky reflecting down would help too! Sorry I’m not the best at explaining it haha but Marco Bucci has a great ambient light tutorial on youtube that might help you make your illustrations seem more cohesive
