How tf do you even socialise with people??? Every time I try to talk to someone I'm either being ignored, dismissed or scared they are going to hate me for saying a single word in their direction
Why are human interactions so hard </3
The many times I've been told that "oh but you should talk to people more and be more open" yeah like no shit thanks for the tip, it's not helpful AT ALLApr 22, 2026

Lowk at my school I'm pretty good with social interaction cause my boyfriends an "it" boy, so when I'm in other public spaces I kinda just fake it till I make it yk
Like if you practice something enough, it comes natural, so in places like the mall idrc what people think yk :)
(SORRY IF THIS COMES OFF CONCEITED IM JUST GIVING PERSPECTIVE)

Honestly what works for me is to fake I'm good at socialising,,
Most of the time people are just as self conscious as you lol, and they wouldn't be nitpicking every detail of the interaction with you. In fact, they're probably thinking the same thing about themselves and have no time for you. (But thinking this way is ofc easier said than done)
If you do really want to practice in socialising, I found that the easiest way is to literally just complement people. It's a good conversation starter if you complement a very specific niche thing about them too (arty people in the wild are very easy to spot
) Also, it's a way to get people to open up to you instead.
Just try to fake being nonchalant and get it over with !!!
, example, 'omg love your shirt bla bla where'd you get it from' and automatically, they would be the one continuing the convo. It's a win win situation of you looking like a confident extrovert, while they feel good about themselves.
Human interaction IS really hard tho, and some people are just not as friendly as others

•Me personally, after covid when I had to work up the muscle again. I just forced myself to keep talking to people even though it was terribly cringeworthy at times (I was in 11th grade)
•
I treat everyone politely. Tho if i wanna make a friend i switch my brain to curious toddler mode, cuz toddlers asks MANY questions and that's the only way i can get myself to maintain a proper conversation that doesnt veer into niche topics like 17th century alchemy... did ur pfp just blink at me...
•
i honestly just act intensely and authentically and if someone matches the vibe they friend

How do I socialise with people? Hmm... I don't
if there's just me and another person I don't know what to say, and when there's more people it looks like they don't even hear me

•Me in a nutshell: ’oh no one really wants to talk to me, i shouldnt talk about this bc people are prob not actually interested, im not cool/interesting, they probably think im ugly/weird/creepy, if someone talks to me they probably want something and not actually like me, i shouldnt ask people questions its rude, its about how it looks not actually how it is, there is not a single person who can truly understand me’
I totally get you. And tbh there is only small percentage of people with whom i actually feel like im not being judged constantly. People mostly love talk about themselves to people who actually listen or pretend to be listening. Irl human relations is complex game and i have no pawns and gave up playing it long time ago.

•I like to open with a question that’s dumb ahh hell if it’s not a serious situation- or asking a question to allow them to go first
•
•Probably because we're built in a world that's suited for extroverts and NTs. At least that's the case for me, who is neither of those.
Plus, when most people talk, they don't usually mean what they say (like "how are you"), which makes it even more difficult
