Paula (Counting with Paula) - 20250925
I did another digital art piece once again, and this time it’s a fan art. It’s actually one of my baby steps in learning kidlit-style art. I chose to draw Paula, the main character from the kids’ cartoon Counting With Paula.In this artwork, Paula is standing cheerfully on a bright field with flowers in the background. She has shiny green eyes and a happy smile on her face. She’s wearing a green t-shirt under blue overalls, with a big pink flower design in the middle. On her feet are bright orange shoes with yellow laces, making her look lively and playful. Her brown hair is parted neatly and tied into two little pigtails. She’s striking a cute, confident pose—her left hand resting on her hip while her right hand points upward, as if she’s about to share a fun idea or lesson.
The artwork turned out fine overall, and I’m glad I gave it a try. But since I’m still just taking baby steps in kidlit art, there are things I’ll need to improve next time—like making the proportions more natural, softening the shapes a bit more, and pushing the playful feel even further. Still, this is a good start for me, and I’m happy to see Paula come to life in my own drawing style.Sep 25, 2025
