Sacha and igor met in russia in the mid 70s, they were neighbors and are both very tall, they bonded over the shared hatred for how small the apartments they lived in were.
Eventually they went and built a cabin in the woods that would fit them, then they fell in love ofc and ivan changed his name to igor at some point (which i would explain but there is so much context behind it we’d be here all day) then sacha got scared of the rampant homophobia of the time / country and left, leaving igor with the cabin (which he still lives in today)
