If I Were A Superhero Launch Promo
Today is the day! After over a year of contemplating, brainstorming, and creating, my web comic kicks off!My story titled If I Were A Superhero follows a young guy named Garret who, along with his friends, ends up with super powers! But Garret isn’t so eager to use his new ability, as he fears all the possible negative outcomes of being a superhero! Will Garret and his friends embrace their incredible new powers!? Or will they go about their lives as if nothing happened!? To make matters even worse, a terrifying threat quickly presents itself!
This story is reallly what I imagine my own personal story would be if I actually gained super powers. Garret is a very kind and caring guy who has a great life in northern Michigan, but he lacks confidence in himself.
This story is about him having to face his fears and gain that self-confidence!
That’s what creating this whole comic has been for me. I have no real writing experience apart from school, and I’m a rather amateur artist. However, I love comics, and have dreamed of creating my own! So with some encouragement from others and some determination, I’ve pushed past the doubt and fears to create this! It’s challenged me to have confidence in myself, and push myself to pursue and create something I love! Comics!
The story I have is unfinished, but I have a beginning and an end with lots of ideas to put in the middle. The first arc will run into next year, 2022. I have 14 pages completed so far and will be releasing a page each Monday!
