» this probably doesn’t look like much.» i want you to think about walking at night on the road through a forested area. your bike has a flat tile, so you have to walk the last hundred metres. or maybe you sit in the car and are all alone on that dark part of the road, even the bright shine of the car’s headlights seem to get lost in the darkness. nothing reflects but you very self. there are few leaves left on the trees, still the branches are tied together so profusely barely any moonlight can be seen. the silence stays. there is just darkness around you.

it’s dark, but not exactly… scary. you’re on the road after all. it’s in that space between fear and familiarity. maybe a very own ‘liminal space’.
» for this i chose my driving/road mascot Phares as depicted oc. Phares is named after the french word for full beam and stands for a warning sign, a reminder of safety and caution at the same time.Oct 5, 2025
