finish everything you do even if you hate it
Use lots of references! For shading on digital use a darker purple or blue color and change the laver settings to what you prefer, and focus a lot on anatomy (at first) based around what you want to start drawing
For digital cell shading I recommend shading with one colour in a separate layer. And setting that layer to multiply and lower the opacity.
General tip is to mix soft and hard shadows!

I mostly do digital art soo
-duplicate and blur your lineart, it makes it softer
-color your lineart (depends on style but this makes it a lot softer and helps blend the colors and the lines together!)
-have fun with layer modes
For me personally, work with as many mediums as you can handle you can learn somthing new in one area that can be useful in another
